I don't simply check in on my clients occasionally, but rather, I provide continuous resources specific to their pregnancy and I pray for them often. The birth of our second son was incredibly empowering and a large part of that was having a doula present. I knew immediately that I wanted to become a birth doula and walk with other women and their families on their journey. I offer continuous informational, emotional, physical, and spiritual support throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

I specialize in working with first-time mothers and parents, and admittedly prefer homebirth settings. At the hospital, we will make a great team if your goal is to eliminate the need for any and all medical interventions, including management of third stage labor. I really encourage you towards a natural, physiological birth. I'm an Ohio native, but have called North Carolina home since high school. During the birth of my first child in 2016, I felt so informed, supported, and empowered even though things didn't quite go according to plan. I realized a lot of families aren't able to reflect positively on their birthing experience, and this burdened my heart to become a birth doula.

Staring back at me from my bucket list was “be with a woman while she gives birth.” I realized that dream in 2005, facilitating the birth experience of my dear friends’ first child. The ecstatic moment of their son’s first breath convinced me of my calling to be a doula. Since that day, I have helped over a thousand people on their journey to parenthood and/or birthing.
